Munich/Reußenköge, 7 May 2019 – The challenges in the development of new renewable energy projects both inside and outside statutory tendering mechanisms are varied. As a pioneer in sector integration projects as well as a provider and developer of the attendant services, the GP JOULE group possesses outstanding expertise in the generation, processing and supply of renewable energies. It will be placing the focus on concrete solutions at its trade show presence at the ees / Intersolar Europe 2019, to be held in Munich on 15-17 May (stand B1.440).
The energy revolution is set to experience a further expansion in the area of renewable power generation; rural regions in particular still offer plenty of potential for further photovoltaic generation capacity, not just internationally, but also in Germany. GP JOULE will be on hand at stand 440 in Hall B1 to advise private, municipal and agricultural owners of outdoor spaces and roof surfaces about the attractive terms and concepts for guaranteeing regional ecological and economic value creation.
“When we develop a project, we combine economic efficiency with ecological quality, aiming at remuneration outside the scope of the EEG (Renewable Energies Act). We do this by creating yield options with a higher added value, such as converting electricity into hydrogen by electrolysis,” says co-founder and CEO, Ove Petersen, explaining the high benchmark. “Our future business already concerns the development of photovoltaic and other renewable energy systems in a ready designed system of sector integration,” stresses Petersen. “The best opportunities concern the conversion of renewable electricity, in particular through Power-to-X concepts, to enable coupling with sectors such as transport, industry and heat – and it is here that GP JOULE can provide considerable assistance. With our expertise, we can above all meet the rising demands of municipalities to bring about value creation on a local level. Only those project planners who can demonstrate that the added value to be had from the self-consumption of regional electricity, use of hydrogen and battery power for mobility, and supply of heat for private and industrial use actually works in practice – and who know how to do it – will in future be able to acquire, initiate, and sustainably run successful projects.”
GP JOULE already supplies practicable sector integration concepts and has even developed its own projects and marketable technologies: The H-TEC SYSTEMS subsidiary, of which MAN Energy Solutions recently became a co-investor, enables the production of electricity from renewable energy sources at an industrial scale using its powerful PEM electrolysers. The manufacturer has production facilities in Augsburg as well as at other locations, and is also represented at the GP JOULE exhibition stand with its plant model. GP JOULE itself is displaying its eFarm project, which supports regional value creation and can be seen as a kind of blueprint for sector integration; it is also Germany’s largest green hydrogen mobility project.
In addition, GP JOULE will be providing information on meaningful approaches to the field of power-to-heat and its services in the area of renewable heat supplies. The emphasis here is on holistic heat concepts, plant and network planning, and the construction of turnkey heat grids and participation models (public private partnerships) for restoring heat supply services for small rural communities to municipal providers.
At the same time, both market leading energy companies and regional players are becoming increasingly aware of GP JOULE’s know-how in engineering, procurement & construction for outdoor and roof-based photovoltaic installations – both on refuse dumps and in converted spaces, also externally. The company is currently not only expanding its international activities in France but also developing promising opportunities in the Benelux region, where GP JOULE’s EPC competences are enjoying considerable interest, particularly in the area of complex projects. The technical and commercial operation of both photovoltaic and wind turbine systems is the domain of GP JOULE SERVICE – which meanwhile has an overall plant power output throughout Europe of more than 850 MW – certified in accordance with DIN ISO 9001:2015. Visitors to our stand can see for themselves a live control system which will be on display and operational at our stand.
In addition to this, the business unit GP JOULE CONNECT, which specialises in modular and intelligent energy and mobility solutions, will be at the Power2Drive exhibition that is being held simultaneously, displaying its offers that are aimed at electric fleet operators in companies and municipalities as well as the housing and tourism sectors.
