GP JOULE CONNECT provides hardware, software and experience from one source for making the conversion to electric mobility

An optimally controlled infrastructure is the key to economic and comfortable e-fleet solutions

Reußenköge – As a true sector coupler, GP JOULE offers companies that want to convert to e-mobility great economic as well as ecological added value. With many years of practical experience, the charging infrastructure for e-fleets by the renewable energy company consisting of hardware, software and services provides a high level of user friendliness, optimised energy costs and a high degree of automation in accounting. By integrating in-house power generation and large-scale consumers as well, GP JOULE enables optional load and energy management thereby ensuring long-term safe investments and expansion perspectives.

The charging infrastructure comprises AC and DC charging stations at the customer’s location with a central control cabinet, personal charging points in  employee’s homes and RFID access media. The system is controlled cost-efficiently and is especially low-maintenance and trouble-free. A modern software solution takes care of the load, charging and energy management. “By integrating the scalable charging infrastructure for e-fleets, we optimise the load, even taking into account the requirements of individual drivers. Additionally installed PV plants, for example on roof-tops, add further capacity. The power generated in this way is also used for charging the e-fleet. This reduces the cost per charge and the charging process is speeded up. The charging speed is adapted to each driver’s needs, which ensures the optimum use of the power supply. Whoever needs the car most urgently, receives a fully charged car first”, explains Ove Petersen, co-founder and Managing Director of GP JOULE.

This means that not only the company’s mobility is ensured technically, but also with regard to the business side: The integration of the charging structure with the CONNECT Cloud makes supervising and administering the charging process simple.  Charging procedures outside of the company at one of the chargers of the CONNECT network are automatically registered and accounted for.

The RFID access medium provided (a card or a chip for the key ring as the customer prefers) works like a conventional fuel card. In this way the charging costs of the employees and users of the e-fleet are automatically registered and, depending on the configuration, sent to the accounts department and reimbursed at the end of the month as required. Customers can rely on the close-knit GP JOULE charging network consisting of over 7,000 charge points Germany-wide. The CONNECT e-fleet was tested in practice for over two years and, it’s 24 e-cars are used daily the the GP JOULE headquarters in Schleswig-Holstein. Interested customers can visit this site as well as the one in Bavaria and find out about how well the system works for themselves.

GP JOULE is presenting its e-fleet solution at Hannover Messe 2018 on stand K50 in hall 27.
